Ibis incorporated (Nagoya, Aichi, Japan) has released the ibisBrowserDX technology preview version. This is a high speed full browser for mobile phones which can run Java applications. ibisBrowserDX is a client/server type full browser. It works on cellular/mobile phones that can run Java (MIDP 2.0) applications and enables your mobile phone comfortably to surf web sites made for PC's. The ibisBrowserDX servers parse HTML's and translate them into compressed rendering instructions instead of your mobile phone. The beta version and the official versions of ibisBrowserDX in Japanese for DoCoMo FOMA were released in June 2005 and November 2005, respectively. |
